While not 100% complete, this book is an excellent starting point for the budding collector - I take it to yard sales to help ID interesting finds.

Price list out of date but not an issue as "market" prices are easy enough to find on the web.

Really good photos with breif history of each pattern. Before slapping a 25 cent price tag on an older glass item at your yard sale, check this book (or don't and invite me!)

Great book to help me find the names of the glassware I pick up at thrift stores, yard sales and flea markets.
This book taught me very little about a specific line of glass that I collect (moon and star pattern) but it is great for the general synopsis of different patterns and makers during the time periods stated. I really like this book because it has helped me to distinguish between the many glass patterns that I have seen at sales, auctions and on eBay. From this book I have learned many new facts and features of glass lines that before reading I would have overlooked. Great buy for beginning collectors trying to find a pattern they like best or to begin an education on glass and glass collecting.
This book is very well organized, interesting, and relevant. I enjoyed how the authors interspersed their glassware information with anecdotes and a request for additional information. I learned a lot about the glassware I am interested in and will be looking for more books by this incredible team. You can tell they have a passion for collectible glassware, and I enjoyed how they explained which pieces in a certain pattern were harder to get ahold of and what to look for. They are very knowledgeable and use that knowledge to help others who share the same passion. Thanks!
